Food for Hope is excited to annouce an incredible donation from King Soopers Store #116! King Soopers opened their NEW Thornton, CO store on 1/25/2023 with lots of celebration. King Soopers donated $15,000 from their Hunger Relief Funding to Food for Hope as well as a gift card from Managers of $3500 to support more local students and their families in Adams County. Thank you so much King Soopers!

King Soopers City Market Donation & Partnership!

Thank you to King Soopers City Market for their over 1,700lbs donation of food bags & snacks this month! King Soopers City Market recently conducted their State of Colorado Managers Meeting and focused on helping the local community. They packed thousands of food bags with as many as 14 items inside and donated these bags to Colorado nonprofit organizations.

Food for Hope was the chosen Nonprofit for the North Denver area, we received 2 1/2 pallets of food! Take a minute to watch a ‘behind the scenes video’ made by King Soopers City Market on our YouTube Channel!

A New School Year Begins

Food Bank Restock Highlights

School is back in full swing and Food for Hope is as well. We have been busy stocking up our in-school food banks to prepare for openings this month. A HUGE Thank You to many local organizations and companies that volunteered and helped us prepare our food bank locations for opening. Thank you to Sondermind (STEM School, Pinnacle Charter), City of Northglenn (Northglenn High), Thornton High School Key Club (McElwain) and Xcel Energy (Shadow Ridge MS & Adams 14) for working extra hard unboxing, stacking, organizing, lifting all of the food that goes into the food banks. At many of these locations we were able to stock both fresh and shelf stable foods. All of our volunteers were AMAZING.

SPOTLIGHT on Pinnacle Charter School New Food Bank Location, Timby’s Tienda! Pinnacle Charter School gifted their families a beautiful, brand new location! The new location is more convenient, and has increased room for storage of both shelf stable and fresh food items. Families can easily shop in person or online for the critical items they need.

Food for Hope - Celebrate Hope 2022 RECAP

Thank you to all who helped raise over $46,000 on May 4, 2022, during our Celebrate Hope Event supporting local Adams County Students experiencing food insecurities.

We hope everyone who attended had an magical evening of fun playing Pop the Balloon, Wine Toss and being entertained by local Colorado Magicians, Cosmo Solano and Gene R. Gordon.

Feed 5000 Recap!

In partnership with ThornCreek Church, this year’s Feed 5000 event was a success! Over 200 volunteers packed 2,000 boxes and then helped distribute them to 21 sites across Adams County.
