September 2026 News: Back to School, Welcome Fall!

Dear Food for Hope Supporters,

September is the time when school, sports, and activities pick up to full speed after the slow days of Summer. The same is true here at Food for Hope! We are back up to ordering thousands of pounds of food and hosting almost 100 volunteers each week to make sure our programs run smoothly. And one things is clear - we need you! As we close out Hunger Action Month, it's the perfect time to get involved.

During September, the community stepped up in a big way. Thank you to all who came out to the 4th Annual Bike n Brew. You helped us raise over $4,200 to fight hunger in our community. We were also the beneficiary of some epic food drives to help us keep up with the increased demand we are seeing in our pantries. Did you know that we have added extra open hours at some of our locations to accommodate need? The only way we can continue, is with your support.

Looking ahead, we have some exciting events coming up:

We have many events coming up soon, so please take a look below! To highlight a few, The Spooky Sweets Stroll at the Orchard Town Center on October 11th, Trunk or Treat for HOPE on October 17th, and the launch of Feed 5000, our Holiday meal box program, which provides 2,500 families with a holiday meal they can cook and serve in their own homes

Watch for more details soon. We can't wait to see you there!

Warmly,

Emily Stromquist, Executive Director

Little Clem Update

Just a few more days to help Little Clem!

Food for Hope only has a few more days to reach our goal of raising $12,000 to add a lift gate to our new delivery truck! Currently we are at just over $7,000, which is only about 59%, and we could really use your help.

This upgrade will mean that our team can load and unload heavy crates of fresh produce faster, safer, and more easily than ever before. That improvement translates into more fruits and vegetables reaching families in Adams County schools, and more kids with healthy food on the table -  Fresh hope, Fresh Starts!

Today is the last day to donate for our Liftgate Campaign. Every donation, big or small, can help make this happen. Please consider donating through the link below!

Thank you to all who have already supported this special project and thank you for helping Little Clem keep rolling!

A huge thank you to the City of Thornton, our Premier Sponsor; Satire Brewing for hosting; The Crossfades, Denver's own '90s alternative band, for an awesome performance; and all the local businesses who joined our community fair. We'll be back next year bigger than ever. See you at the 5th annual Bike n Brew or do we maybe call it Oktoberfest?! Stay tuned....

The School Year is Here, and it's the perfect time to help Food for Hope grow our impact through our Fresh Hope, Fresh Starts initiative!

As we kick off a new school year, we're looking to connect with local businesses, community groups, faith organizations, and individuals who are passionate about ensuring students and families have access to healthy food.

You can help by introducing Food for Hope to potential partners, sponsors, volunteers, or donors in your network. A simple conversation or email introduction can create new opportunities to support local families throughout the year.

You can also amplify our mission by sharing our newsletter, website, and social media posts, and by leaving a Google Review. Every connection, share, and review helps bring Fresh Hope and Fresh Starts to more students and families across our community.
